Product Merchandising at Club Vintage
A mix of product curation and product merchandising left the store in an exciting cycle of transformation. As inventory changed, so did our chance to tell a new story with new pieces. From showpieces and window displays to everyday everyday decor, understanding how different furniture, fashion, and art pieces could work for New York City apartments and more importantly, New Yorkers, was the most exciting challenge every week. We weren’t just selling pieces, we were selling a lifestyle.
A monthly pop-up in LA before opening our LA store. Collaborating with other vendors and understanding the difference between the NYC market and LA market was crucial in taking our next steps.
Brand collaborations
Towards the end of my time at Club Vintage, we also began collaborations with local brands targeting similar markets. This was another learning opportunity to understand the best ways of communicating to the buyer visually first, then through conversation.
